Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya laid the foundation stones virtually for six major sports infrastructure projects and inaugurated two athlete support facilities on Tuesday, marking another push for India’s better sporting future.

The total investment of the above projects is Rs. 120 Crore, while the six projects involve a cumulative cost of Rs. 82 Crore. Furthermore, the latter is being implemented under the Khelo India Scheme, with additional support from the Sports Authority of India (SAI).
The infrastructure projects include the upgradation of a synthetic hockey turf in Bengaluru, the construction of a multi-purpose hall in Patiala, the laying of synthetic athletic tracks in Bhopal, Guwahati, and Jalpaiguri, and the construction of a multi-purpose judo hall in Bhopal.
